This week the GA crew is locking down at the Moon River Brewing Company in Savannah, arguably one of the most haunted cities in the country. Catch the episode premiere Friday at 9 PM E/P on the Travel Channel. Below are episode details and a preview video I wanted to share with you.
The Moon River Brewery Company occupies the building where the first hotel in Savannah, Georgia, once stood. The City Hotel was an upscale establishment, however the affluent clientele occasionally resorted to violence defending their Southern honor. Since the Moon River Brewery opening, the staff and customers have encountered many unexplained, and sometimes violent, occurrences. Accounts include bottles being thrown by unseen forces and people being touched, pushed, and slapped by invisible spirits. One prominent ghostly figure is "Toby," who lurks in the bar's billiard room where he has been known to push patrons and staff.
Also, a glowing white apparition has reportedly been seen on the restaurant's upper floors and is believed to be the spirit of a hotel worker who died there in the late 1800s.

I am not normally impressed with ghost photos, but this one is really spooky. Trick of light and shadow or real? Read the story at the link. The Ghost Adventures crew is going on a true "lockdown" this week as they investigate the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, one of the oldest standing prisons in the country. I wanted to provide you some location details and an extended video preview of this all new episode, premiering Friday at 9 PM E/P on the Travel Channel.
The Eastern State Penitentiary, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is considered to be one of the most haunted locations in the world. The prison first opened its doors in 1829 and was designed to hold 253 prisoners, each occupying a solitary confinement cell for their entire sentence. Although executions were not carried out at Eastern State, the prison was home to its fair share of murders. At least two guards were murdered over the years as were many inmates. Hundreds of others died from disease and old age. The inmates are long gone but there is strong evidence that their angry spirits continue to roam the cell blocks and corridors.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to provide location details and an extended video preview. Tune in for the episode premiere and see what evidence the team discovers this Friday at 9 PM E/P on the Travel Channel.
"The New York Times" once called the former gambling hall, saloon and brothel, "the roughest, bawdiest, and most wicked night spot between Basin Street and the Barbary Coast." The walls of the Bird Cage Theater are riddled with over 140 bullet holes and at least 26 people lost their lives here in gun or knife fights. Visitors and employees of the Bird Cage Theater have reported seeing the spirits of former prostitutes and men in cowboy hats. Some claim to have been touched and pushed by unseen forces.

The La Purisima Mission is a former Spanish residence of padres, soldiers and the native Chumash. The area is beautiful, but the air around it is heavy with the tragedy of disease and war. Joan Crawford epitomized the essence of the Hollywood rags-to-riches story-a poor shopgirl who, in the 1920s, becomes the very embodiment of America's "flaming youth" and then transcends the role of "dancing daughter" to emerge the heroine of America's favorite melodramas.
In 1978, Christina Crawford, Joan's adopted daughter, wrote Mom-mie Dearest and shocked the United States with her heart-wrenching story of what it was really like growing up with one of Hollywood's most famous leading ladies. Mommie Dearest was on the New York Times best-seller list for forty-two weeks and was made into a 1981 film star-ring Faye Dunaway.
In 1989, we heard rumors of haunting manifestations in Joan Craw-ford's former home, and Christina seemed genuinely surprised that we knew about the stories.
"Not many people know that the house I grew up in may be haunted. It is not in print anywhere," she said.
On Halloween the Ghost Adventures crew will be investigating the Moundsville State Penitentiary in West Virgina. Watch the team get locked down in one of the country's most violent prisons this Friday at 9 pm ET. After several years of dismissing inexplicable sounds, fleeting shadows and broken crockery, owners of a modest home in the Los Angeles hills began to suspect their house may be haunted. They started taking Polaroid pictures of cold spots and places in the house where their Saint Bernard refused to tread. What they got back were snapshots that were astonishing.drkrm.gallery is again hosting a special Halloween retrospective of this unique collection of paranormal photographs. As featured on the television shows SIGHTINGS, UNEXPLAINED MYSTERIES and A&E’s BIOGRAPHY, these strange images are just a fraction of the hundreds captured.
Taken in the 1990s before Photoshop, digital imaging and cell phone cameras changed photography forever, each Polaroid is original and distinctive. They show familiar rooms with wispy, feathery tendrils and misty tufts of white substances and, amazingly, cloud-like ectoplasmic writing; answers to whatever questions had been asked of the enitity. Usually the response came in English, but sometimes it appeared in Latin. When asked “Did you die in this house?” the answering spirit responded in Latin:“Et alla Corpus delicti,” (which translates among other things, a murder victim). The words floating in midair were invisible when the photograph was taken.
Seeing Things: Ghost Polaroids explores the boundary between the known and the unknown. It asks whether something as simple and functional as photographs of record—people at a party, an empty room, an open door—can be a gateway to something more. These startling photographs challenge perceptions of reality and art. Is the image of the room with the ghostly writing the way we see ghosts, or is it the way ghosts see us? Who is seeing things, after all? Come explore these strangely surreal photographs and decide for yourself.drkrm. gallery is an exhibition space dedicated to fine art and documentary photography, cutting edge and alternative photographic processes and the display and survey of popular cultural images. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 11 am – 5 pm. Sunday 1-4pm.

drkrm. gallery is located at 2121 N. San Fernando Road, Suite 3 in the Capitol Studios Building in the Glassell Park section of Northeast Los Angeles, just minutes from Chinatown and down the road from The Brewery Art Complex.
